May's Act of Heroism...Feed America
Contribute what you can to Feeding America. Of course, you must first look into the organization to see if it passes your personal litmus test of approval. But if you are short on time you can always extend the contents of your wallet. And I do not see this as a cop out. I share the Randian view on money, as expressed in Atlas Shrugged;
"And when men live by trade-with reason, not force, as their final arbiter-it is the best product that wins, the best performance, the man of best judgment and highest ability-and the degree of a man's productiveness is the degree of his reward. This is the code of existence whose tool and symbol is money."
To donate that which is man's greatest product of virtue, that which he uses to ensure his survival, is no small action.
